In Mathew 22:36,37, a teacher of the Law asked Jesus, “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said, “Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,and with all thy soul,and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment”
Though we are no longer under the law but under grace, I believe that our Heavenly Father still desires us to love Him, praise Him and worship Him with every fibre of our spirit, soul and body. 1 Thessalonians 5 v 23.
He desires us to spend time with Him, to praise Him: in the spirit (in tongues) and with our understanding, thanking Him for all His blessings out of a heart of love.
I am a father myself and am truly blessed to spend time with my children. Our Heavenly Father is the same, He desires us to love
Him, praise Him and worship Him with every fibre, not because we have to but because we want to.
I believe that the Father is asking us to lay aside our busy lifestyles, our
schedules, the “things” we do for Him and spend time just loving, praising and worshipping Him.
